18th March, 2010 - Posted by Traveler -
Las Vegas has long been known as the gambling capital of the world for good reason. Casinos are found on almost every corner, the Las Vegas Strip is home to the most immaculate casinos anywhere, and slot machines are located in almost every convenience store, restaurant, or any other business you may walk in. Aside from all the gambling going on, Las Vegas has a lot more to offer. The casinos are host to the best shows on earth including comedy, music, plays, magic, dancing, and many more entertaining acts. The sports world also is no stranger to the desert. World class boxing events, MMA, auto racing, and golf events are held here regularly. For those that are into nature, rugged landscape of the southwest offers some of the best off-roading and sightseeing around, not to mention, the majestic Hoover Damn located a short distance away. The shopping is great, with every major retail store or unique shop that sells those hard to find items located somewhere around town. The dining is second to none, with world class chefs cooking up the tastes from all over the world. Touring the grand casinos is an adventure itself, with some of the best architecture in the world on display every day in these massive buildings. Owners have spent billions to build these theme oriented casinos. Touring the town by air is also an option, with daily tours offered by plane, helicopter, or hot air balloon. Whatever you seek in a vacation, it can be found in Las Vegas, whether it be natural, or man made.
