Visit Big Wonderful Wyoming

If you really want to experiene the Old West, Wyoming has to be the best place to go. No matter where you choose to vist in the state, “the cowboy way” is still the way of life.   As a frequent visitor to Wyoming, I have traveled the state many times and would like to give you some vacation suggestions.

First of all there is Yellowstone, the most beautiful National Park in the country.  Filled with high rugged mountains, geysers, hot springs, wildlife, camping, hiking, and to many other things to list, Yellowstone has it all.  While your in the area, check out Jakson Hole.

In the north eastern part of the state is Devils Tower National Monument.  This is the nations first national monument and where “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” was filmed.  The Black Hills National forest is just a short drive east.

Cheyenne hosts “The Grand Daddy of them All”, the Cheyenne Fronteir Days and rodeo.  Every cowboy in the world dreams of riding in this event.  It is held anually in August filled with concerts, food, carnivals, parades, and of course, rodeo.

Travel north on I-25 untill you hit Buffalo, Wy.  This is home and gateway to the Bighorn Mountains and the Bighorn National Forest.  The town itself is beautiful and Highway 16 will take you over the Bighorns and straight to Yellowstone.

Before you get to Yellowstone on Highway 16, you will get to Cody.  This is my favorite town in the state.  Filled with wild west shows,  beautiful mountains,  an exciting night scene, and of course the Buffalo Bill Museum.  This is one of the best museums I have ever visited dedicated to the Old West.

There you have it. Hope you have fun in Wyoming, and remember to let http://www.cheaperticketprices.com/ get you there for less.devils_tower_1
