Buffalo Bills bet on Gailey

buffalo-billsIt’s been a long time since the Buffalo Bills were in the conversations of possible Super Bowl contenders.  Since their glory days in the early 90’s when they appeared in 4 strait championship games, the Bills haven’t been able to find their stride and have consistantly been ranked near the bottom in most statistical categories.  The firing of Dick Juron brought on hopes by fans of landing a high profile coach like Bill Cowher or Mike Shanahan, but today we learned that the new leader would be the former head coach of the Dallas  Cowboys, Chan Gailey.  Gailey is coming off 2 miserable seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs as offensive coordinator and hopes to turn his and the Bills future into a bright one.  Gailey has plenty of pro football coaching experience with not only the Cowboys and Chiefs, but he also coached for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Miami Dolphins.  Before returning to the pros in 2008, Gailey had 6 winning seasons at Georgia Tech as head football coach.  There is alot to improve upon at Buffalo, and Chan Gailey definately has his work cut out for him.
