Cheaper airfares now
29th October, 2009 - Posted by Traveler -
The price for plane tickets have dropped to their lowest level since 1998 according to recent reports. The economy has forced travelers to put off vacations and travel plans for the past 18 months which has forced airlines to cut ticket prices to lure in customers. All airlines are in a price cutting contest to win our business. Southwest has announced one-way ticket fares for as low as $25, of course there are mileage restrictions. With the holiday season right around the corner, you can bet fares will go up, but not as much as in recent years. Remember these tips. Airfares during the holidays are always higher the few days before and after Thanksgiving and Christmas. Airfares on the day of the holiday are always lower. Sign up for discounts and destination specials on travel websites or specific airline websites for great deals. Always make reservations atleast 2 to 3 weeks in advance. With these low fares being offered, everyone should be able to get home for the holidays without breaking the bank.
