Getting the cheapest price for Airport parking

It’s usually an tedious process to find a place to park your vehicle at the airport without putting a hole in your wallet.  These days, you have several choices of parking lots besides the very expensive airport parking lot.  National chains of parking lots are located around most airports, just as motels and 7-11’s.  Parking lots with names like, The Parking Spot, Park n Fly, Fast Park, and many others offer several promotions to get your business, although a free bottle of water or newspaper is about the greatest gift you’ll get back.

There are a few ways to get the most for your money when trying to find the right parking lot.  Always research the area online and find out exactly where these lots are, and what there names are.  There are certain websites that tell you that they will compare rates from different lots for you, but most of the time they only compare 2 or 3 and there are several other ones to pick from.  The only rates those sites compare, are from the parking lots that agree to give them a commission to send them business.  Just do a local search of parking lots at the airport on Yahoo or Google, and you will save money.   Also, you will almost always get a better price if you book online and make reservations.  Some of them even have coupons you can get off of their website that will save you a few dollars.  Covered parking is also a little higher than uncovered, but if you are flying out of a place that has good weather, why pay for covered parking.  You can check the weather channel before you leave to know what the weather is going to do while you are gone.  Most all parking lots offer shuttle service to and from the airport at no cost to you, but driver’s greatly appreciate tips.  Make sure you know exactly where the lot you choose is located before you leave for the airport.  Some places are a few miles from the airport down backroads, and you could miss your plane trying to find the place.
