Visit The Hollywood of the South
26th April, 2009 - Posted by admin -

Some may know, some don’t, that Wimington, North Carolina is the Hollywood of the south. With the scenic Cape Fear river, Dawsons Creek and One Tree Hill are regulars, but there is so much more to see and do. From sitting on a dock on the river having some cracked crab legs and local flounder at Elijahs, one of my personal favorites, www.elijahs.com, to the more laid back and even hip crowd at www.flamingamysburritobarn.com, the double bypass is my doctors worse nightmare, don’t forget the mango salsa.
The best part is that www.cheaperticketprices.com can get you there with probably the best prices around. Click the link and see for yourself. Then once in Wilmington, take a horse drawn carriage ride around the old downtown area, perhaps visit a battleship or at night take the “ghost tour” and hear about the spookier side of this historic town.
Flowers are in bloom, the history is rich and the people couldn’t be more friendly. Don’t forget the beach is only a few minutes away. Rent a boat and you’ve got the entire intercoastal waterway to play in or hit Myrtle Beach just 90 minutes drive south. All in all, Wilmington is a great old southern town with a new hip attitude.
