The Saints are better than good, they are the best

After watching the New Orleans Saints dismantle the New England Patriots on Monday night, I have no doubt that the Saints are the best team in the NFL right now.  It wasn’t only the superb play of Drew Brees and the offense, the Saints defense stopped one of the most potent offenses in the league.  Randy Moss was pretty much shut down, Tom Brady was pressured and forced to make bad throws, and their running game never even got started.  The biggest challenge the Saints could face on route to the Superbowl would be the Vikings.  Given the Saints have a better record, only by one game, if they continue to win and get home field advantage in the playoffs, I think they can handle the Vikings easily.  They will have a small test against the Cowboys before the playoffs, but I know Romo usually folds in the second half of the season and they don’t have a defense capable of stopping the Saints offense.  All we can do now is watch and wait.  I truly hope the Saints go all of the way.  They have been losing on a consistant basis for almost 40 years and they deserve the chance to enjoy success.
