Who wants Tebow

tebowThe draft is right around the corner, and analysts are all arguing over who will be the #1 pick.  One thing they all agree on is Tim Tebow will not be anywhere near the top.  Most analysts are saying that Tebow will probably be picked somewhere late in the second, or third round.  Its kind of hard to believe that such a decorated college player has been bashed by so many critics and will probably be picked up by a team for a bargain price.  Tim has 2 national championships under his belt, a Hiesman Trophy, numerous touch down records, and arguably the best leader and player in college history.  Most scouts point to the fact that Tebow’s throwing technique is not suitable for the NFL.  He needs a faster release and holds the ball to low.  Some have suggested that he make the switch to tight end, but even at tight end, he will still be a low draft pick.   Even if he is not what the NFL wants now, I believe he is capable of being molded into a great player at whichever position he will be placed in.  His leadership skills and ability to bring a team together is his greatest attribute to me.  The only player with his level of enthusiasm, in my opinion, is Ray Lewis.  Another sad thing about the situation is some people from the Jacksonville area, close to Tebow’s home, have voiced there opinion about keeping Tebow off the Jaguars roster.  Only time will tell if Tebow will turn out to be a NFL star.  If he starts in his first year, he will be the most scrutinized player on the field.  Hopefully, he will find a good team that will be patient and teach him the way to play pro football, without throwing him to the lions right off the bat.  The bright spot in this story is Tebow very head strong, and can handle pressure.  He is more worried about his good deeds and missionary work than he is a pro football career.  This is what I think people criticize him most about.  He’s a good guy, and people are intimidated by him.
