Destination: Taos, New Mexico

Taos is one of New Mexico’s most popular destinations for many reasons, but none are greater than the white powder, packed slopes of the the ski lodges. Set in North Central New Mexico, and over 7000 feet above sea level, Taos and the surrounding area offers several ski lodges to choose from. These ski lodges include: Taos Ski Valley, Red River, Angel Fire, and the Sipapu Ski and Summer Resorts. For winter sports enthusiasts, there is no better spot in the United States to travel to.
Taos doesn’t only want to be considered as just a winter destination though. When the snow melts, you can hook into some of the finest Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout in the many lakes, creeks, and rivers around the area. If hiking, camping, and mountain bike riding are some of your favorite activities, the rugged country and breath taking views will keep you occupied for as long as you want to stay. For the daredevils, try and tackle some of the white water rapids that are crated when the snow melts in the spring. If you are feeling lucky, check out Taos Mountain Casino for a good time at the slots, or on the card tables. Lodging is plentiful around the area and offers any style of room you are looking for including the modern ones with all of the amenities, or the rustic type of lodging that provides a more “roughing it” style.
Wheter you are driving or flying into Taos, always check weather conditions especially if you are driving. For great prices on airfare, hotel reservations, and rental cars, go to http://www.cheaperticketprices.com/ to find the best deals.
