Next stop, Washington, DC

23rd September, 2009 - Posted by admin -

Many residents in the United States have never travelled to the nation’s capitol.  With a historic new administration running the United States Government, now is as good as any other time to visit Washington, DC.  Make it a family trip to learn about history in ways that a textbook could never substitute.

And if you are able to contact your congress person ahead of time, you might be able to get a guided tour from him or her.  Show your family all the monuments, and view the documents that have had a part in making the United States the country that it is today.  And if you still have time left in your itinerary, you could visit either of the adjoining states, or maybe even both Virginia or Maryland.  Stroll through the historical monuments that have survived the test of time, and tell stories that the History Channel, or your children’s textbooks is unable to convey.  Experience the different neighborhoods that Maryland has to offer, or take a ride in the Inner Harbor to commune with nature.

If Virginia is more your style, take a trip through time to learn about the origins of several United States’ presidents.  And after that, tour the various universities in the either or both of the states to give your children an idea of the different college campuses that your children can attend after they graduate from high school.  Visit www.cheaperticketprices.com to book your next trip to Washington, DC, and the surrounding states, to enrich your childrens’ education.
